Avro Tudor 7 G-AGRX at the 1947 Radlett SBAC show. The first production Tudor 2, modified on the production line to Tudor 7 standard, powered by Bristol Hercules 120 radial engines, in place of Rolls-Royce Merlin 102s. First flown on 17 April 1946 RX was used for cabin heating tests before delivery to the Ministry of Supply as VX199 in March 1949, for use by the Telecommunications Research Establishment at Defford. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
