Detail of an early Norman or late Saxon font with a carved square bowl on a cylindrical shaft, the top few inches of which appear to be original and the rest modern. The angle of the image shows two sides of the bowl, one including the scene of two men fighting with shields and swords, while the other depicts wild animals. A masked face on the corner can be seen more clearly and they separate the two scenes. The church has Norman origins and was rebuilt in te 13th and 14th centuries. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
