Dickson had learnt to fly with the Farman school at Mourmelon, France and was the first English pilot to hold a world record. On June 6 1910, in Anjou, France, he broke the duration record for a passenger flight, by flying for exactly two hours, during which time he covered 98.75 kilometers (61 miles). Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
