EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the intense moment when an angry bull breaks free from its captors and embarks on a wild race for freedom. The chaotic scene unfolds as the enraged animal charges through the streets of San Severino Marche, causing panic among the people in its path. With adrenaline pumping, men and women scramble to escape while others bravely attempt to chase down the loose bull. In a bizarre turn of events, the bull finds itself inside a grand cathedral, running full speed towards an altar. However, fate intervenes as it slips on the polished floor and falls to its knees. This unexpected twist allows its guardians to swiftly regain control and lead it away towards its destined fate at the slaughterhouse. The image showcases both fear and determination - fear in the eyes of those fleeing from this raging beast, but also determination in those who dare to confront it head-on. The juxtaposition between chaos and serenity is striking as this powerful creature disrupts the peaceful atmosphere within this sacred space. Beltrame Achille's skillful illustration brings this extraordinary event to life with vibrant colors that highlight every detail - from the majestic marble architecture of cathedrals to the sheer strength and energy exuded by this escaped bull. It serves as a reminder that even in moments of panic and unpredictability, there can be beauty found within these unusual circumstances.
