This lithograph, published in 1897, showcases the diverse and majestic birds of prey from Africa, Asia, and Europe. The print features a stunning collection of avian predators that are sure to leave any nature enthusiast in awe. In the foreground, we see a young female Gyrfalcon (Falco rusticolus), her piercing gaze exuding both grace and strength. Next to her is a female Peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus), displaying its regal stature with an air of confidence. A male Eurasian hobby (Falco subbuteo) follows suit, showcasing his vibrant plumage. Moving along the composition, we encounter a male Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) perched elegantly on a branch. Beside him stands a striking male Kite (Milvus ictinus), its wings spread wide as if ready for flight. In contrast to these aerial hunters is the Western Marsh-Harrier (Circus aeruginosus), depicted here as both a young male and an old female.
