EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photograph taken by Dan Rowley on July 2, 2014, at Bristol City's training ground, we find two of the club's most promising midfielders, Korey Smith and Luke Freeman, in the midst of an intense training session. The image, which is mandatory by-line Dan Rowley/JMP, transports us to the lush green grass of the stadium, where the first team was gearing up for the upcoming 2014-15 season. The scene is set against the backdrop of Ashton Gate, the iconic home of Bristol City Football Club. Smith and Freeman, both dressed in the team's vibrant blue and white kit, are locked in a fierce battle for possession of the ball. Freeman, with a determined look in his eyes, reaches out to intercept a pass from a teammate, while Smith, poised and ready, anticipates the move and prepares to take control of the ball. The photograph captures the essence of pre-season training, where every drill and scrimmage is a chance to hone skills, build team chemistry, and prepare for the rigors of the upcoming season. The intensity and focus of the players are palpable, as they push themselves to the limit in pursuit of victory. As we gaze at this image, we are reminded of the rich footballing history of Bristol City and the passion that drives its players to give their all on the pitch. The photograph is a testament to the dedication and hard work that goes into making each season a success, and a reminder of the excitement and anticipation that comes with the start of a new football season.
