Created by the Anglo-Indian School in the 20th century, this metal badge symbolizes the rich military history of Burma. The silver badge takes on the form of a bugle-horn, elegantly surmounted by a crown with the unit's number displayed between its instrument strings. The 85th Burma Rifles was established during World War One, drawing recruits from the esteemed Burma Military Police force.
