Allesley County Primary school, Antrim Close, Coventry, was the location of the Allesley Summer Festival. About 1, 500 visited the event and it was hoped they would make 200 for the P.T.A. funds. Events included road safety and gymnastics displays, a fancy dress parade, stalls and side shows.
Our photo shows Barbara Hackleton (11) and Amanda Homer (11) making friends with Suki, an eight-week-old leopard cub from Coventry Zoo.
