Meanwhile, on the right side, a revolutionary new approach is employed as firefighters fight fire with fire spray. The photograph features a handwritten four-line caption in both Dutch and French languages, adding an authentic touch to this historical documentation. Additionally, handwritten letters are visible on display, further enhancing its authenticity. This particular print is part of Jan van der Heyden's Brandspuitenboek (Fire Engine Book), where it appears as plate 3 in later editions alongside explanatory text.
