The image showcases five illustrations that depict various moments from Jacques Philippe Joseph de Saint Quentin's renowned play, "Mad Day, Marriage, Figaro" or "La Folle Journée, ou Le Mariage de Figaro". The play was written by Pierre Augustin Caron Beaumarchais and first performed in 1784. This etching and engraving sheet measures 6 3/8 x 4 inches (162 x 101 cm) and is part of a series capturing the essence of this theatrical masterpiece. As we observe the print closely, we see dancing couples gracefully moving around four elegantly dressed women who stand at the center of attention.
