This print captures the essence of William Ewart Gladstone, a prominent British Liberal Party statesman and Prime Minister. Created in 1893 by artist George J Stodart, this portrait showcases the distinguished features of Gladstone, who played a significant role in shaping 19th-century Britain. Born in Liverpool in 1809, Gladstone received his education at Oxford before embarking on his political career.
