It was the meeting place for beggars, street-sellers and entertainers. On the left, leaning on a stick, is Judy Dowling, Keeper of the Town Hutch. The violinist Blind Willie is shown seated at the front of the group. The various people were recorded in a North-East song known as Hells Kitchen.
