The first knockout round second leg had ended in a stalemate after 90 minutes, forcing the teams into a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. The atmosphere was electric as both sets of fans held their breath, hoping for their team to secure a place in the next round. Arsenal, the English Premier League giants, had high hopes of advancing, but Roma, under the guidance of their charismatic manager Luciano Spalletti, proved to be a formidable opponent.
