Samuel Hieronymous Grimm Collection

Samuel Hieronymous Grimm was a Swiss-born artist and printmaker who lived in England from 1768 until his death in 1812. He is best known for his landscape prints, which he produced using the aquatint technique. His works often featured scenes of rural life, such as country roads, cottages, and farms. He also produced portraits of famous figures such as William Pitt and Admiral Lord Nelson. Grimm was a member of the Royal Academy and exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition from 1780 to 1808.
