EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Mark Stevenson showcases a serene scene from the prehistoric era, where a herd of Corythosaurus duckbill dinosaurs peacefully graze at a watering and feeding ground. The digitally generated image brings these extinct creatures back to life in vivid color, allowing us to marvel at their majestic presence. In this illustration, we are transported outdoors to witness the beauty of nature's creations. With no people in sight, we can fully appreciate the untamed wilderness that once thrived millions of years ago. Four Corythosaurus duckbills are captured in a side view as they rest and roam freely in their habitat. The artwork not only highlights the scientific significance of paleozoology and paleontology but also sparks our imagination about primitive origins and evolution. These sauropsid reptiles with their distinct crests were part of an ancient ecosystem during the Mesozoic era. As we gaze upon this tranquil landscape, it is impossible not to feel a sense of tranquility and awe for these herbivorous creatures that once roamed our planet. Their existence reminds us of the rich wildlife that inhabited Earth long before humans came into being. Stevenson's masterful creation transports us back in time, inviting us to contemplate the mysteries held within rocks and fossils. This stunning depiction serves as both an educational tool for understanding our natural history and an artistic representation celebrating the wonders of nature itself.
