We found young keeper Tim Durant singing nBe My Lovei to a bunch of baboons, while in the giraffe enclosure Paul Wiseman was crooning nMoon Riveri to his charges. For an explanation we had a word with Kay Smart. She was down by the pool, serenading the dolphins. nWeIre quite serious about it, i said Kay. nIt soothes them at this time of the year when there are few visitors. And it keeps them used to people.
