21"x16" (54x41cm) Antique Frame

Bevelled wood effect frame, card mounted, 15x10 archival quality photo print. Overall outside dimensions 21x16 inches (54x41cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: To minimise original artwork cropping, for optimum layout, and to ensure print is secure, the visible print may be marginally smaller

EDITORS COMMENTS
In the year 1856, Queen Victoria, the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, embarked on a visit to the picturesque town of Dartmouth, Devon. Accompanied by her consort, Prince Albert, and a retinue of nobility and dignitaries, the royal party arrived in Dartmouth on May 21, 1856, via the royal yacht, the HMS Victoria and Albert II. The primary purpose of the visit was to inspect the town's newly established maritime centre and naval base. The maritime centre, a hub for shipbuilding, repair, and maintenance, was a testament to the British Empire's maritime supremacy. Queen Victoria's visit was a significant ceremonial event, symbolizing the importance of Dartmouth as a strategic naval base and a vital link in the defense of the realm. Upon arrival, the Queen was greeted by the town's dignitaries and a grand procession of boats, which escorted her to the maritime centre. The Queen inspected the various vessels in the harbor, including the Royal Navy's warships, and was shown around the facilities. The townspeople turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their monarch, lining the streets and harbor, waving and cheering.
