EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by James O. Davies transports us to the mystical realm of Stonehenge, a timeless monument steeped in history and wonder. As the first rays of early dawn pierce through the cold mist, they cast an ethereal glow upon this iconic stone circle nestled in Wiltshire's picturesque landscape. The image captures the essence of archaeology and takes us back to a bygone era when our ancestors erected these colossal stones with unwavering determination. Stonehenge stands as a testament to their ingenuity, marking both the Stone Age and Bronze Age civilizations that once thrived here. Enclosed within its sacred boundaries, this prehistoric marvel continues to intrigue scholars and visitors alike. Recognized as a World Heritage Site, it holds secrets yet untold, inviting speculation about its purpose and significance. Davies' lens skillfully frames the grandeur of Stonehenge against nature's backdrop at daybreak—a moment frozen in time where ancient meets modernity. The juxtaposition is striking; it reminds us that while centuries have passed since its creation, Stonehenge remains an enduring symbol of human achievement.
