The intricately detailed drawing in graphite and watercolour on paperboard offers a glimpse into the rich heritage of American decorative arts during this period. Measuring approximately 11 x 14 inches (28 x 35.6 cm), the scale drawing of the Chamber Lamp reveals its elegant design, which features a metal lamp base and stand, topped with a glass chamber encasing a single bulb. The lamp's simple yet sophisticated form is a testament to the artistic vision of its creator, A. Zaidenberg. The Chamber Lamp, created around 1936, is an exquisite example of American art from the 20th century. Its timeless appeal transcends the thirties and forties, making it an essential addition to any art centre or gallery showcasing the Decorative Arts.
