EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photo print, we witness a hilarious moment captured by FLPA photographer Malcolm Schuyl. Meet our feathered friend from Down Under – a Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae) adult who seems to have mastered the art of staying cool in sunny Queensland, Australia. As temperatures rise on the coastal shores, this clever gull has found an ingenious way to beat the heat while diligently incubating its precious eggs. With wings slightly spread and beak wide open, it's panting away like a pro! Who knew birds could sweat? Nestled amidst nature's beauty and surrounded by breathtaking views of the Australian coast, this seabird showcases both determination and adaptability. Its commitment to protecting its future offspring is truly admirable. The vibrant December sun casts a warm glow on our protagonist as it sits comfortably on its nest. The combination of silver plumage against sandy hues creates an enchanting visual spectacle that perfectly embodies the spirit of coastal wildlife.
