Bevelled wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 archival quality photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, the Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. The artwork, titled "Honeysuckle, Sage and Rose" was beautifully crafted by Robinet Testard on vellum. Measuring 26x35.5 cm, this piece is currently housed in the National Library in St. Petersburg, Russia. Believed to have been created for Louise of Savoy, wife of Charles of Angouleme, this medieval manuscript holds great historical significance. The intricate illumination depicts a variety of curative herbs and flowers that were commonly used during that era. On the left side of the composition lies lonicera periclymenum or honeysuckle with its delicate vines adorned with thorny leaves.
