It captures the legendary composer Joseph Haydn at the first performance of his opera L Incontro Improvviso, held at the prestigious Esterhazy theatre on August 29th, 1775. Haydn's expression exudes a mix of excitement and anticipation as he stands on stage, surrounded by an orchestra ready to bring his musical masterpiece to life.
