Taken on 30th January 1951, this image showcases the spectacular fireworks display that illuminated Sydney Harbour to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Australian Federation. The night sky is ablaze with bursts of colorful explosions, reflecting off the calm waters below. The Royal Australian Navy warships and Fort Denison proudly launch these dazzling fireworks, creating a mesmerizing spectacle against the backdrop of a Venetian carnival. This traditional festival atmosphere adds an air of excitement and joy to the occasion.
