In memory of the Australian Army Veterinary Corp (AAVC), Chris Kennedy and his horse Chaos (left) and Damon Hughes and horse Maverick are seen at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast, Tuesday, April 23, 2019. The AAVC played a vital military role, from the Sudan and South African wars, through World War I and to the end of World War II. Veterinarians and their assistants provided professional care for horses, mules, camels, dogs and pigeons in the Australian Army, with 120 officers serving overseas in WWI. Sydney Harbour Bridge, Australia - Completed

A view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Australia - pictured shortly after construction had finished. The bridge was designed and built by Dorman Long and Co Ltd, Middlesbrough Teesside and Cleveland Bridge, Darlington, County Durham and opened in 1932. Until 1967 it was the city's tallest structure. Construction of the arch of the bridge began in 1929, with two separate teams building the arch on each side using creeper cranes
