Eurasian spoonbill, or common spoonbill, (Platalea leucorodia) feeding. This wading bird is found in southern Eurasia, Europe and North Africa. It migrates to the tropics in winter. It inhabits marshy wetlands and feeds on fish, frogs and other aquatic animals. Photographed in Israel in September
