This stunning print captures the awe-inspiring beauty of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31, NGC 224) in all its glory. Located a staggering 2.2 million light years away from Earth, M31 is a colossal spiral galaxy that reigns supreme over the "Local Group" which includes our very own Milky Way galaxy. Taken through a powerful 500mm lens, this optical photograph showcases not only the grandeur of M31 but also its two small companion galaxies. Above and to the right of M31's center lies the diffuse blue area known as NGC 205, an irregular galaxy adding to the cosmic tapestry. Directly beneath M31's center shines another celestial gem - M32 (NGC 221), an elliptical galaxy resembling a bright and slightly diffuse star-like object. Captured on July 4th, 1984, at Anza Oca site with a remarkable exposure time of twenty minutes and using Fuji HR1600 film, this image transports us into the depths of space and offers us a glimpse into our vast universe.
