17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Michael S. Nolan transports us to the enchanting Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, Africa. As the sun begins its descent, casting a warm golden glow across the vast savannah, we are greeted by a small herd of majestic African bush elephants. These gentle giants, known scientifically as Loxodonta africana, gracefully traverse the landscape with an air of tranquility. The composition of this photograph is truly breathtaking. The silhouettes of these magnificent creatures stand tall against the vibrant hues of the setting sun, creating a mesmerizing contrast between light and dark. Their outlines are beautifully backlit, emphasizing their sheer size and strength. In this moment captured by Nolan's lens, we witness nature at its most raw and untouched. With no human presence in sight, these animals roam freely in their natural habitat - a testament to the importance of preserving our precious wildlife for generations to come. As we gaze upon this image, we can almost hear the soft rustle of grass beneath their feet and feel a sense of awe wash over us. It serves as a reminder that there is beauty in simplicity; that even amidst chaotic times, there is solace to be found in observing nature's wonders. Nolan's photograph invites us on an imaginary safari adventure where time stands still and our souls connect with Earth's incredible biodiversity. It reminds us why places like Hwange National Park are cherished tourist destinations - not just for their scenic landscapes but also for providing sanctuary to some of Africa
