23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the essence of tranquility and adventure in one frame. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean, off Jambiani, Zanzibar, Tanzania, an outrigger canoe with a sail gracefully glides through the crystal-clear waters. The image showcases a man sitting peacefully on the boat, surrounded by nature's beauty and serenity. The vibrant blue sky and cloudless horizon create a sense of isolation and seclusion as the canoe sails towards distant shores. The traditional cultural aspect is evident in this scene as it represents a way of life for many people in East Africa. The photograph perfectly encapsulates the spirit of travel and exploration, inviting viewers to embark on their own journey across these remote waters. It evokes feelings of peace and tranquility while also igniting a sense of curiosity about what lies beyond. With its rich colors and horizontal composition, this image highlights both the natural beauty of Zanzibar's coastline and the cultural significance that can be found within its traditions. It serves as a reminder that there is still so much to discover in our world – from breathtaking landscapes to unique customs passed down through generations. Lee Frost/Robert Harding has expertly captured this moment in time, allowing us to appreciate not only its aesthetic appeal but also its deeper meaning. This print truly celebrates both nature's wonders and humanity's connection to them.
