23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Alex Treadway captures the haunting beauty of Deadvlei, located in Namib-Naukluft Park, Namibia. Against a backdrop of towering sand dunes, dead acacia trees stand as silent sentinels, their skeletal branches reaching towards the sky. The stark contrast between the orange-hued sand and the blackened silhouettes creates a mesmerizing scene that evokes both awe and melancholy. Deadvlei is a place frozen in time, where nature's relentless forces have transformed life into death. The once vibrant acacia trees now stand barren and decaying, symbolizing the inevitable cycle of existence. This image serves as a poignant reminder of our own mortality and the ephemeral nature of all things. The vastness of this landscape is awe-inspiring; it stretches out before us like an endless canvas painted with shades of orange and brown. With no signs of human presence, we are reminded of our insignificance in comparison to the grandeur and power of Mother Nature. Treadway's skillful use of color enhances the dramatic impact of this photograph. The warm tones evoke a sense of warmth amidst desolation while also highlighting every intricate detail within this arid environment. As we gaze upon this image, we are transported to another world – one where life meets its end but leaves behind an indelible mark on our souls. It invites us to contemplate not only our own mortality but also how fleeting moments can hold immense beauty even in places
