Big Cats Carnivorous Felines King Of Beasts Panthera Leo

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the majestic presence of a lion in its natural habitat, amidst the lush long grasses of Lion and Cheetah Park, located in the southwest region of Harare, Zimbabwe. Taken on March 27,1998, by talented photographers Christopher Gable and Sally Gable from Universal Images Group (UIG), this image showcases the raw power and beauty of one of nature's most iconic creatures. The lion, known scientifically as panthera leo, is often referred to as the king of beasts for its regal demeanor and commanding presence. In this photograph, we witness the lion camouflaged within the golden-hued grasses; its intense gaze fixed upon an unseen target. The feline's muscular frame hints at its carnivorous nature while exuding an aura of strength and dominance. Zimbabwe's abundant wildlife provides a perfect backdrop for capturing such awe-inspiring moments. This particular shot not only highlights the magnificence of lions but also serves as a reminder of their vulnerability due to habitat loss and poaching threats. Christopher Gable and Sally Gable have skillfully captured a fleeting moment that encapsulates both grace and power within this remarkable big cat species. As viewers immerse themselves in this mesmerizing image, they are transported into a world where untamed beauty reigns supreme – reminding us all to cherish our planet's precious wildlife treasures.
