23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

St. Theresa's New School, Manor Estate - Could You Spare a Poor Dog a Bone?

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This print from the opening brochure of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Primary School takes us on a nostalgic journey back to the early days of Sheffield's Manor Estate. The image, preserved in Sheffield Local Studies Library (MP 4934 S), captures the essence of this esteemed educational institution. The grandeur and architectural elegance of St. Theresa's New School is evident as it stands proudly on Prince Wales Road. Its magnificent facade exudes an aura of promise and hope for generations to come. However, amidst this remarkable scene lies a heartwarming plea - "Could you spare a poor dog a bone?". This subtle yet thought-provoking message reminds us that compassion knows no bounds, even within the walls of academia. As we delve into the history behind this photograph, we are transported to an era where education was not only about intellectual growth but also instilling values such as empathy and kindness towards all living beings. While commercial use may be excluded from discussion here, what remains undeniable is the enduring legacy left by St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Primary School in shaping young minds and nurturing compassionate individuals who would go on to make positive contributions to society. In this single snapshot frozen in time, we witness both architectural splendor and an invitation for humanity to extend its hand towards those less fortunate – reminding us that true greatness lies not just in academic achievements but also in acts of kindness bestowed upon our fellow creatures
