17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, a mountain gorilla stands tall and gazes out of a clearing in Virunga National Park, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The image was captured by James Akena on October 21,2012. The M23 Movement, which is the political wing formed by former M23 rebels, took an extraordinary step by opening up Virunga National Park to tourists. This decision allowed visitors to track and observe these rare and majestic creatures - the mountain gorillas. The photograph showcases a close-up view of the gorilla's face, highlighting its striking features and contrasting black color against the serene surroundings. The composition offers a detailed glimpse into the tranquil environment where this beautiful wild animal resides. Through creative use of elevated perspective and juxtaposition contrast, Akena captures both the vulnerability and strength embodied by this magnificent mammal. The viewer can appreciate not only its physical beauty but also gain insight into its natural habitat. This picture evokes feelings of awe as we witness nature's wonders unfold before our eyes. It reminds us of the importance of protecting these picturesque landscapes for future generations to enjoy. With no people present in the frame, it allows us to focus solely on this incredible creature that symbolizes both fragility and resilience. Akena's skillful portrayal invites us into a world rarely seen through human eyes - one where wildlife thrives undisturbed amidst breathtaking scenery.
