FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, a majestic giraffe gracefully strolls near an elevated railway line that serves as a unique pathway for wildlife beneath the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) line connecting Nairobi and Naivasha. Taken inside the Nairobi National Park in Kenya, Njeri Mwangi's lens captures the perfect juxtaposition of nature and human infrastructure. The image showcases the harmonious coexistence between man-made structures and wild animals in their natural habitat. The giraffe's silhouette against the backdrop of a picturesque rural landscape creates a stunning visual contrast. As sunlight bathes the scene, it highlights both the beauty in nature and the looming threat posed by climate change. This photograph symbolizes creative use of resources to mitigate environmental issues while preserving wildlife habitats. It serves as a reminder that even amidst rapid industrialization, there is still room for conservation efforts to flourish. The scale of this magnificent creature against the towering viaduct emphasizes its vulnerability in an ever-changing world. With no humans present, it evokes a sense of tranquility and solitude within this bustling ecosystem. Njeri Mwangi's skillful composition captures not only one beautiful moment but also raises awareness about our responsibility to protect these creatures' homes from destruction caused by human activities. This thought-provoking image invites viewers to appreciate both nature's resilience and mankind's potential for sustainable development.
