23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
great black-and-white photograph captures the intensity and passion of a football match between England and Preston North End star Tom Finney and Chelsea's left-back Bellet. The image, taken on August 25, 1956, at Stamford Bridge in London, shows Finney in the midst of a fierce tussle with Bellet over the ball. The rain-soaked pitch adds to the chaotic scene, with both players fully immersed in the action. Tom Finney, affectionately known as "The Magic Sigil" for his exceptional skill and creativity on the field, is seen here in his element. His determination and focus are evident as he battles for possession, despite the heavy downpour and Bellet's attempts to shield the ball. Finney's distinctive number 9 jersey is barely visible under the cascade of water, adding to the sense of drama and energy in the photograph. Bellet, on the other hand, is almost completely hidden from view, with only his left leg and part of his jersey visible. The intensity of the moment has left him drenched and disheveled, but his expression remains focused and determined. The photograph is a testament to the physical and mental demands of professional football, as well as the unwavering dedication and passion of the players. Tom Finney's legendary status in English football is further cemented by this powerful image, which captures the essence of his talent and tenacity on the pitch. This photograph is a valuable historical document, providing a glimpse into the past of English football and the careers of two iconic players. It is a reminder of the rich history and tradition of the sport, and the enduring appeal of the beautiful game.
