23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moments in football history are often etched in the memories of fans for generations. This photograph captures one such moment from the 2005 Coca-Cola Football League Championship match between Preston North End and Brighton & Hove Albion at Deepdale. The image, taken by renowned sports photographer Brandon Malone, showcases a poignant moment as footballing legend Sir Tom Finney, a former Preston North End player, watches the game from the stands. Sir Tom Finney, affectionately known as "The Preston Plumber" is an English footballing icon. He spent the majority of his career at Preston North End, making a total of 473 appearances for the club between 1946 and 1960. Finney's impact on the game was immense, and he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of English football. He earned 76 caps for the England national team and was a key figure in England's 1953 FA Cup win. As the sun sets on the pitch at Deepdale, Sir Tom Finney, now retired, takes a moment to reflect on the beautiful game that brought him so much joy and success throughout his life. The expression on his face speaks volumes, as he watches the current generation of players carry on the legacy of Preston North End Football Club. The photograph serves as a reminder of the rich history and tradition of football, and the enduring connection between past and present. The atmosphere at Deepdale is electric, with the passionate fans of Preston North End and Brighton & Hove Albion creating an electrifying atmosphere. The tension is palpable as the two teams battle it out on the pitch, each vying for the valuable three points. The photograph captures a fleeting moment in time, a snapshot of the passion, history, and tradition that makes football such an enduring and beloved sport.
