Ardea Alba Egrets Feeding Fish Herons Humorous Markus Varesvuo
17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Talk about a fishy feast! This Great Egret is taking the term 'big gulp' to a whole new level. With its beak wide open and eyes bulging, it's clear this bird has bitten off more than it can chew – or should we say swallow? Caught in action by photographer Markus Varesvuo, this hilarious snapshot captures the moment when hunger outweighs common sense. In Pusztaszer, Hungary, May 2008, this daring egret decided to go all-in for its lunchtime treat. Who needs bite-sized snacks when you can have an entire meal in one go? The large fish disappearing down its long neck is enough to make anyone do a double-take. It's hard not to admire the determination of our feathered friend here. They say birds of a feather flock together, but clearly, this egret prefers dining solo and making jaws drop with its impressive appetite. Perhaps it's training for some kind of underwater wrestling match – WWE style! Nature never fails to surprise us with its incredible creatures and their quirky antics. So next time you're feeling peckish or overwhelmed by your own plate of food, just remember: if this Great Egret can handle swallowing such a massive fish without flinching, then surely you can conquer anything on your plate too!
