23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this image captured by wildlife photographer Steven Kazlowski, a young polar bear (Ursus maritimus) showcases its playful and clumsy side as it attempts to balance on the icy shoreline of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. The scene unfolds along the Bernard Spit, situated in the 1002 area of the North Slope within the Brooks Range. The polar bear, a majestic and endangered carnivore native to the Arctic, appears to be in a light-hearted mood as it stands in the shallow water, seemingly trying to mimic a dance or display a sense of humor. The juvenile bear's curiosity is evident as it gazes directly into the camera, inviting viewers to share in its moment of vulnerability and innocence. The Arctic landscape, characterized by its snow-covered terrain and icy waters, serves as the perfect backdrop for this enchanting moment. The polar bear's white fur blends seamlessly with the surrounding snow, while the contrasting dark patches on its body and the reflections in the water add depth and texture to the image. Despite its playful appearance, it's essential to remember that polar bears are a vital part of the Arctic ecosystem and are considered a vulnerable vertebrate species. Their population continues to decline due to climate change and habitat loss, making it increasingly important to appreciate and protect these magnificent creatures. This photograph not only captures the beauty and grace of a young polar bear but also highlights the importance of preserving their habitat and ensuring their continued survival for future generations.
