23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back to the year 1938, when the Great Western Railway (GWR) and London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) joined forces to promote rail travel to the picturesque Wye Valley in Hereford and Worcester. The stunning artwork by Gregory Brown transports us into a serene landscape, capturing the essence of this enchanting destination. In this idyllic scene, we are greeted with a breathtaking view across a lush wooded valley. As our gaze wanders further, we catch sight of an imposing hilltop castle standing proudly in the background. Its ancient walls seem to whisper stories of times gone by, adding an air of mystery and intrigue to this already mesmerizing vista. The foreground is adorned with haystacks that dot the landscape like golden nuggets amidst nature's canvas. Their presence reminds us of simpler times when agriculture played a vital role in shaping these rural regions. Printed meticulously by Lowe & Brydone in London NW10, every detail comes alive through this high-quality reproduction from NRM/Pictorial Collection at National Railway Museum. It serves as both a testament to the artistic talent behind it and as an invitation for travelers seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Let yourself be transported back in time as you admire this timeless masterpiece – a window into an era where rail travel was not only practical but also offered unforgettable journeys through some of Britain's most awe-inspiring landscapes.
