23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back to the bustling Aberavon Shopping Centre in Port Talbot on a crisp winter day, precisely captured on the 13th of January 1976. The image instantly transports us to the vibrant atmosphere of this popular shopping destination during the 1970s. In this snapshot frozen in time, we witness a slice of everyday life as people go about their business amidst an array of shops and storefronts. The architecture reflects the era's design trends, with its clean lines and large windows inviting passersby to explore what lies within. The scene is filled with activity - shoppers strolling along the promenade, some carrying bags full of purchases while others engage in animated conversations. It's fascinating to observe how fashion has evolved over time; men sport wide-collared shirts and flared trousers, while women showcase their unique style through colorful dresses and bell-bottom pants. The black-and-white composition adds a touch of nostalgia to this photograph from Memory Lane Prints by Mirrorpix. It serves as a poignant reminder that even though decades have passed since that winter day in 1976, memories can be preserved forever through these visual time capsules. Whether you are familiar with Aberavon Shopping Centre or not, this print invites you to step into history and imagine yourself among those individuals who once wandered these very streets all those years ago.
