The Beatles arriving at London Heathrow Airport after their last ever concert tour of
The Beatles arriving at London Heathrow Airport after their last ever concert tour of America. 31st August 1966.
The Beatles performed their last ever concert on 29th August 1966 at Candlestick Park, San Fransisco, California, America, USA. (Apart from 30th January 1969 appearance on the top of the Apple Building in London.)
1966 was a year of change for The Beatles. They released their iconic Revolver album, but were growing tired of touring and experienced fan revolts in the USA after John Lennon unwittingly said the The Beatles were more popular than Jesus. The words he used got reported, published and circulated worldwide. Fans in the USA burnt Beatle records in protest to the group.
After their return to England, the group took a short break, but by November were back in Abbey Road Studios recording Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane, and into 1967 and Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

The Beatles - A Year of Change and Evolution
EDITORS COMMENTS
. This print captures a pivotal moment in the history of The Beatles. It depicts the legendary band arriving at London Heathrow Airport on August 31st, 1966, after their final concert tour of America. Just two days earlier, they had performed their last ever live show at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The year 1966 marked a significant turning point for The Beatles. While they released their groundbreaking album Revolver, they were also growing weary of constant touring. Their controversial statement made by John Lennon about being more popular than Jesus caused uproar among fans in America, leading to record burnings and protests. After returning to England, the Fab Four took a much-needed break before embarking on new musical ventures. By November that same year, they found themselves back in Abbey Road Studios working on iconic tracks like "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane". These songs would eventually become part of their revolutionary album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Captured by Victor Crawshaw on August 31st, this photograph serves as a visual reminder of The Beatles' transformative journey during this tumultuous period. It encapsulates both the exhaustion from relentless touring and the creative spark that led them towards uncharted musical territory.
