Still young at 104 One of the countrys oldest residents revealed her

Still young at 104
One of the countrys oldest residents revealed her secret for looking young this morning.
Mrs Gertrude Beaumont, who celebrates her 104th birthday today, puts face cream on every morning. A resident of Bryan Wood Home in Bryan Road, Edgerton, she needs no medication and walks without a stick.
Mrs Beaumont was born in Thurstonland and went to the villages Endowed School before leaving at the age of 13 to become an apprentice dressmaker at Sude Hill, New Mill.
She worked as a dressmaker at home for 12 years before doing similar work in the ladies department at Bairstows wholesale clothing factory in Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield.
The owners of the home, Norman and Leony Waters, have planned a special party for her and among guests will be Kirklees Mayor and Mayoress Clr and Mrs George Speight. Councillors will also be attending, along with her grandson, Mr Philip Taylor. 22nd February 1988

Birthday Card Centenarian Elderly Old Age Party

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Still Young at 104 - Revealing the Secret to Ageless Beauty

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this heartwarming photo print, we see Mrs. Gertrude Beaumont, one of the country's oldest residents, radiating with vitality and joy on her 104th birthday. As she celebrates this remarkable milestone, Mrs. Beaumont graciously shares her secret for looking young. Residing in Bryan Wood Home in Edgerton's Bryan Road, Mrs. Beaumont defies age by diligently applying face cream every morning—a simple yet powerful ritual that has kept her skin glowing and youthful. Astonishingly, she requires no medication and moves about effortlessly without a walking stick. Born in Thurstonland, Mrs. Beaumont received her education at the village's Endowed School before embarking on an apprenticeship as a dressmaker at Sude Hill in New Mill when she was just thirteen years old. After honing her skills for twelve years from home, she continued working as a dressmaker in Bairstows wholesale clothing factory's ladies department located on Fitzwilliam Street in Huddersfield. To commemorate this extraordinary occasion, Norman and Leony Waters—owners of the home—have organized a special party where esteemed guests including Kirklees Mayor and Mayoress Clr and Mrs George Speight will be present alongside councillors and Mrs. Beaumont's grandson Mr. Philip Taylor. This photograph captures not only the timeless beauty of Mrs. Gertrude Beaumont but also serves as an inspiration to all who witness it—an embodiment of resilience, gracefulness, and unwavering spirit that reminds us age is merely a number when one embraces life with love and gratitude.
