23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Breaking Gender Barriers - Steve Mitchell, the Trailblazer at Meltham Mills Toddler Group

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In a world where gender roles are often deeply ingrained, one man is challenging societal norms and breaking down barriers. Meet Steve Mitchell, a devoted father who has shattered another female bastion by being elected as the chairman of the Meltham Mills Toddler Group. Eight months ago, Steve made the courageous decision to leave his job as a transport manager in order to care for his 16-month-old son, Sam. His wife, Anne, works for Kirklees Councils Social Services department and together they decided that Steve would take on the role of primary caregiver. Nowadays, you can find Steve happily running the under threes toddler group alongside other mothers. With about 15 children attending each session on Monday and Wednesday mornings at their local community center, it's clear that he has become an integral part of this nurturing environment. Anne proudly states that "Steve really loves children" which is evident in his dedication to creating a welcoming space for all toddlers. The presence of a caring father figure seems to bring joy not only to Sam but also to all the children at the toddler group. Steve Mitchell's story serves as an inspiration and reminder that parental love knows no boundaries or gender stereotypes. He stands tall as proof that anyone can break free from traditional expectations and make a positive impact in childcare settings.
