23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to the 1990s in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The image captures a moment of anticipation and determination as young musicians from Honley High School gather for auditions at Holmfirth High School. Their shared goal? To secure a coveted place in the National Festival of Music for Youth in London. The scene is bustling with energy as boys and girls clutch their musical instruments tightly, ready to showcase their talent. A queue forms outside the audition room, each child eagerly awaiting their turn to impress the judges. The piper calls the tune, symbolizing how these aspiring musicians are driven by passion and ambition. This snapshot not only encapsulates a pivotal moment in these children's lives but also highlights the importance of music education and its impact on shaping young minds. It serves as a reminder that childhood is filled with dreams and opportunities for growth. Holmfirth High School deserves recognition for hosting such mass auditions year after year, attracting over 500 talented individuals from far-flung places like Scarborough. This event truly showcases the power of music to bring communities together and foster artistic excellence. As we reflect on this photograph, we celebrate these young hopefuls who dared to dream big and pursued their love for music against all odds. They serve as an inspiration for future generations of musicians striving to make their mark on stage or behind an instrument.
