Dan-Air, the company accused of labelling cabin staff as sexually promiscuous, decided to send bouquets of flowers to its 600 stewardesses - including about 60 based at Newcastle.
The move was described as a gesture of goodwill by the airline, which is also giving £ 5, 000 to a childrens trust which organises flights for disabled and deprived youngsters.
The early St Valentines Day gift was made after talks between management and cabin crew representatives of the Transport and General Workers Union.

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we see three Dan-Air stewardesses standing side by side, exuding elegance and professionalism. From left to right, Linda Clough, Jeanette Jenkins, and Anne Liddle grace us with their presence. This image captures a significant moment in the history of Dan-Air when the company faced allegations of labeling its cabin staff as sexually promiscuous. In an effort to restore goodwill and mend relationships with its 600 stewardesses across various locations including Newcastle, the airline decided to send bouquets of flowers as an early St Valentine's Day gift. This gesture not only aimed at expressing appreciation for their hard work but also symbolized a fresh start. The negotiations between management and representatives from the Transport and General Workers Union paved the way for this heartwarming initiative. Additionally, Dan-Air demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating £5,000 to a children's trust that organizes flights for disabled and deprived youngsters. Amidst a backdrop of flying aircrafts at an airport in the 1980s, these four individuals stand united as ambassadors of impeccable service in business travel and holiday experiences. Their uniforms represent both tradition and modernity within the aerospace industry. This print serves as a timeless reminder of how gestures rooted in kindness can bridge gaps between employees and employers while simultaneously benefiting society at large.
