31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print by Eric Piper, we are transported back to the year 1970, where a young girl named Jane Curtis leads her school friends in a heartfelt prayer. The innocence and purity of childhood radiate from their faces as they gather together, seeking solace and hope for their beloved village of Stewkley. The backdrop to this poignant moment is the unsettling news of the Roskill Commissions Plan for London's third airport. As whispers spread through the community about potential changes that could impact their way of life, these children find comfort in coming together to pray for salvation. Jane Curtis stands at the forefront, her small hands clasped tightly in prayer. Surrounded by her fellow classmates, she embodies strength beyond her years as she guides them through this act of faith. Their unity is palpable; each child fervently hoping that their collective prayers will be heard and answered. This snapshot captures not only a moment frozen in time but also serves as a testament to the power of belief and resilience within youth. It reminds us all that even amidst uncertainty and fear, there is solace to be found when we come together with unwavering faith. Eric Piper's skillful composition allows us to witness this intimate scene unfold before our eyes—a reminder that even during times of adversity, hope can blossom within the hearts of children who dare to dream and believe in miracles yet unseen.
