23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see the incredible moment when a brave young boy named Alexander Taylor presents Prime Minister Tony Blair with a Blue Starflower on the steps of No 10 Downing Street. Recovered from cancer at just four years old, Alexander's triumphant journey serves as an inspiration to us all. This touching image captures the essence of National Cancer Day, a campaign aimed at raising awareness about this devastating disease that affects so many lives. Alexander's victory over kidney disease through a rigorous course of chemotherapy showcases the resilience and strength within children facing such challenges. As Prime Minister Blair accepts the flower from this courageous little fighter, it symbolizes hope and determination in the face of adversity. This powerful gesture signifies not only Alexander's personal triumph but also highlights the importance of government support in combating diseases like cancer. Later that day, Tony Blair visited Kings College Hospital to witness firsthand the impact his policies have had on healthcare facilities across the country. This photograph encapsulates an important moment in history - May 1997 - during which politicians prioritized campaigns for better healthcare systems and fought for improved treatments for those battling cancer. Taken by photographer Mike Moore, this poignant image reminds us that even amidst political debates and general elections, there are stories of bravery and resilience that deserve our attention and support.
