23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Stepping into the Timeless World - A Glimpse of Cardiff's Old Library with Dr. Who Actor Tom Baker and Lisa Jenkins

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this print from 16th May 1985, we are transported back to a momentous day in Cardiff's history. Standing proudly outside the magnificent old library building is none other than the iconic Dr. Who actor, Tom Baker, accompanied by an enthusiastic young girl named Lisa Jenkins from Neath. This snapshot captures a unique event - the burial of a time capsule within the foundations of South Glamorgan's new county library in Cardiff. The excitement surrounding this occasion was palpable as it marked not only a significant milestone for the city but also showcased the power of imagination and creativity. Eleven-year-old Lisa Jenkins had emerged victorious in a competition organized by BBC's Welsh-language children's program, Billiodowcar, earning her place as The Doctor's assistant on this memorable day. Her beaming smile reflects both her joy at being part of such an extraordinary experience and her admiration for Tom Baker himself. As they stand beside each other, holding onto a box that contains secrets from their time, one cannot help but feel captivated by their shared enthusiasm for adventure and exploration. This image serves as a reminder that libraries are not just repositories of knowledge; they hold within them stories waiting to be discovered. Preserved through Memory Lane Prints courtesy of Western Mail and Echo Copyright, this photograph encapsulates an era where dreams intertwined with reality – where fictional
