Storm Waves

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print titled "Waves crash against a wall at Millport in Scotland after heavy winds caused the sea to become rough". Gunion John transports us back to June 1996, capturing a powerful moment of nature's fury. The image showcases the sheer force and intensity of the storm as waves relentlessly pound against a sturdy stone wall. The scene is set in Millport, Scotland, where Mother Nature unleashed her might upon the tranquil coastal town. The turbulent weather conditions are evident through the churning sea and darkened skies. With each crashing wave, one can almost feel the raw energy reverberating through the photograph. Gunion John's keen eye for detail allows us to witness both beauty and danger intertwined within this snapshot from Memory Lane Prints. Despite its destructive nature, there is an undeniable allure to these tumultuous waves that draw our gaze closer. We find ourselves mesmerized by their relentless assault on the protective barrier before them. This photograph serves as a reminder of humanity's vulnerability when faced with nature's wrath. It evokes feelings of awe and respect for our planet's immense power while simultaneously highlighting our own insignificance in comparison. As we observe this stunning visual testament to Scotland's tempestuous climate during that fateful summer day in 1996, we are reminded of how fleeting moments like these can be captured forever through photography – preserving memories that continue to captivate viewers decades later.
