Young-timers putting on a special old-time music hall show at Allesley Park Community

Young-timers putting on a special old-time music hall show at Allesley Park Community Centre, Coventry, last night. 26 of them, aged between seven and ten, entertained their parents and friends with a repertoire of old-time songs, comedy sketches and the can-can. They are members of the centres junior youth club and their show, which was also perfomed at the weekend, was to raise funds for a netball pitch in the centre grounds. " The children have come up with a really professional show, " said Mrs. M. Botterill, the producer. " They have worked very hard and have had a great deal of encouragement and help from parents."

23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Captivating Coventry's Youth - Young-timers Steal the Show at Allesley Park Community Centre

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In a heartwarming display of talent and community spirit, a group of young performers aged between seven and ten took center stage last night at Allesley Park Community Centre in Coventry. The vibrant atmosphere was electrified as 26 children from the center's junior youth club showcased their exceptional skills in an enchanting old-time music hall show. Dressed in dazzling fancy costumes, these pint-sized entertainers captivated their parents and friends with a delightful repertoire of timeless songs, side-splitting comedy sketches, and even the daring can-can dance. Their performance not only brought joy to all who attended but also served a noble purpose - raising funds for a much-needed netball pitch within the center grounds. Mrs. M. Botterill, the proud producer behind this extraordinary production, praised the youngsters' dedication and professionalism throughout their journey. With unwavering support from devoted parents and guardians, these talented children have poured their hearts into perfecting every aspect of their show. As we look back on this cherished moment captured by Mirrorpix on May 25th, 1971, it serves as a reminder that age is no barrier when it comes to showcasing one's talents or contributing towards communal goals. These young-timers have proven that with determination and encouragement from loved ones, they can create magic on stage while making positive changes within their community.
