23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back to December 1970 at the Theatre Royal. The legendary Sir Bernard Miles takes center stage as he flawlessly embodies the iconic character of Long John Silver in Robert Louis Stevenson's timeless tale, Treasure Island. Dressed in a meticulously detailed pirate costume, Sir Bernard exudes an air of both menace and charm. His piercing gaze is intensified by the thick-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, adding a touch of intellectual prowess to his rugged appearance. As he holds a glass filled with what appears to be amber liquid, one can't help but wonder if it contains rum or some other potent libation that fuels Long John Silver's audacious spirit. The photograph captures a moment frozen in time - an intimate glimpse into the life of an extraordinary actor during one of his most memorable performances. It encapsulates the essence of theatre itself; where imagination meets reality and characters come alive before our very eyes. Sir Bernard Miles' portrayal undoubtedly left audiences spellbound as he effortlessly brought Long John Silver's treacherous yet charismatic persona to life on stage. This image serves as a testament to his immense talent and enduring legacy within the world of acting. For enthusiasts of both vintage photography and classic literature adaptations, this stunning print is sure to evoke nostalgia for a bygone era while celebrating the artistry that continues to captivate us today.
